Life has been going well here-just busy. On Tuesday morning (the second day of school) I already felt behind! Fintan has been doing well with Joanna. It seems he's half a little mad at me and half can't get enough of me. Love that little guy so much. I've done pretty, a couple tears. I didn't make it home two nights this week to put him to bed (the first time since he was born). Oy. I knew I'd be really busy with school but man, I'm REALLY busy. Lots of stuff to learn, review, dissect, etc. My brain is out of shape but slowly getting back into it. Jeff has been going to work everyday and getting his office/the club ready for him full-time arrival in Sept. He's also been very supportive of my studies and I even came home to an amazing home cooked meal last night! No surprise, he's the bomb.
Fintan is absolutely on the verge of walking! It's so crazy. He's sturdy on his feet and walks holding onto one hand! He's LOVING music these days too. Dances and bangs his hands rhythmically.
Jeff Fintan and I spent the last weekend before school started enjoying the weekend together. We took Fintan to see the King Tut exhibit at the Science Museum. Well, that's not entirely true, it's more like Fintan and I took Jeff to see the exhibit! Jeff LOVES pyramids and anything Egyptian. Glad we got to go and the museum is beautiful. Fintan was great during the tour and after we went to a kids area and played with another little boy on the floor.
Cool water/music/rhythm art installation. It was mesmerizing.
Our Boy King! How'd you get so Funky?! Funky Tut!
We went home after the museum for Fintan's nap. After he woke up, we headed to the Como Zoo. It's a free zoo in St Paul and was so great! We saw a ton of activity and had fun. Fintan had good time but got hot so we headed out. We also stopped by the new club where Jeff works-great, funky facility and I think Jeff is a great fit there.
Enjoying the giraffes :)
Last Friday was my white coat ceremony. Essentially it celebrates the start of medical school and we receive our white coats. My dad, Deann, the girls, and My mom came down to go to the ceremony. It was actually a nice ceremony and I was so glad everyone came down for it. We had a great BBQ after with friends and family. An AMAZING parade went through the neighborhood that night too! Everyone had a great time and it was a great way to celebrate the start of school. Thank you so much to ALL of my friends and family for all of your support. Without a doubt, I truly appreciate all of your help along the way to get here :)
Grandpa, Grandma, Nana, Auntie Haley, Auntie Kelsey, Dad, and Finny B.
Post-ceremony feeding Finny B :)
You have never seen someone enjoy an apple as much as Fintan.
