One day I got home from work and Fintan told me he really wanted to stay up late the next night to watch a show on PBS. He said, "Mama, it's on at 8pm on PBS kids." Fintan usually passes out really hard by 7pm so it was a stretch but I told him we'd see how the next day went. Unsatisfied with this answer, he kept selling it to me: Mama, it's a show about rocks, there's music, it's on PBS. With piqued interest, I started googling. "kids rock show" "singing rocks" "musical rocks" all with "on PBS" at the end. I came up empty and again said, "we'll see." I called Jeff at work to see if he had any idea what this was about, he had no idea.
The next morning, Fintan again selling staying up late that evening to watch a singing rock show....
Later that morning, I was at work, and I get a text from Jeff-
Jeff: I figured out what the musical rock show is.
Ash: What is it?
Jeff: PBS. 8pm...
... Pat Benatar.
As witnessed by my expression, I certainly did not see that coming!
Fintan is so awesome.
