MA-MA!
Nuggy, after realizing the sweet taste of freedom, has decided to jump ship on his crib as well. Jeff said he put him down for a nap this morning, heard a thud (not uncommon as he has a pre-sleep ritual of banging around), but then Jeff thought, hmm, that was louder than usual. He went to the video monitor, turned the screen on, and could just see the top of Nuggy's head pass through the bottom of screen as he was running around his room! What a mister! He's so fun! Jeff went and opened his door and Fintan just laughed and laughed. Very proud of himself.
Not sure what we do now though...seems so little to be in a big boy bed!
ALSO, last night, Nuggy and I were sitting in front of the hall mirror before bed talking to one another and what did I get? I got a "MA-MA"! I welled-up, obviously. Very cool to hear.
I should also mention that Fintan has an INCREDIBLY refined palate already! In the past few weeks the kid has gobbled up: stuffed grape leaves, inhales hummus, eggplant-garlic dip, and enchiladas. Who is this kid? Pretty funny. He also loves vegetables, spinach and broccoli being his favorites, though peas aren't too far behind...and sweet potatoes.
He seems taller every day. Jeff and I are still in awe of this little being and what an amazing spirit he has. So active, wild, physical, and engaging, and yet sweet, sensitive, and loving. Very fun combination-- reminds me a lot of his dad!
