After a couple meetings at school this morning, I met Jeff and Fin at the park they had biked to. Fin was having an absolute blast playing with 5 older boys. When I showed up, he sprinted across the field to give me a huge hug and then grabbed my hand to meet "all of my friends". We walked under the trees where the older boys were hanging out and Fintan proudly, and enthusiastically, announced "Hey Everyone! I brought my Mom! And this will be her room!" He was so eager and had such a genuine smile on his face. My heart melted. Such a sweetie-pie guy. The older boys were fortunately indulgent to the Nugget's enthusiasm.
Tonight we enjoyed a bike ride around the neighborhood, weeding the garden, grilling dinner, and had grilled peaches on vanilla ice cream for dessert. Nuggy is the ultimate helper in the kitchen and is so happy to have his Mama around again.
Also, our zucchini has really started producing! Fin is stoked to finally have "zew-ini" bread again! What a patient guy to wait through the plating of the zucchini, for it to get big enough to pick, and then to bake and eat. Again, a great helper and he loves "zew-ini bread with nooooooo nuts".
